A hotel course that became the Open. The 18th is the walk everybody already knows.

Neville and Grant routed Pebble along Stillwater Cove in 1919. Chandler Egan revised it for the 1929 U.S. Amateur. The coastline holes are the ones that photograph: ice plant, cypress, the cove under the lodge. Watson chipped in on 17 in 1982. You do not need a sunset. The kelp does the work.
