Norman routed Doonbeg through the dunes on Doughmore Bay in 2002. The lodge sits in the grass like it grew there. The Clock is the first tee — two black markers, the strand, the timepiece that does not care about your pace of play. Dune Hollow is a green in a bowl of fescue. Golfing under the moon is the other Ireland: the one that does not wait for noon.
